Everyone deserves to live in a safe, clean home regardless of income level. Timber Habitat is committed to seeing this happen and has become a partner with the cities of Tukwila, Renton, and SeaTac to perform minor home repairs for those people who have a reduced income level. If you own your own house, condo, or mobile home and live in any of these cities, you can apply for funding to cover the cost of health and safety-related home improvements. Please see the contact information below.

Each city is ultimately responsible for determining who qualifies and what services are covered, but here is a small sample list:

  • Seal doors and windows
  • Replace broken window glass
  • Install deadbolt locks
  • Install security lights
  • Service roof leaks
  • Service gutter systems
  • Install access ramps and handrails
  • Service faulty bathroom and kitchen plumbing and exhaust fans
  • Install carbon monoxide alarms
  • Install smoke alarms
  • Service faulty electrical switches and receptacles
